FEATURES
AAPI Youth Voices collaborates with State Rep. Patricia Mueller in the effort to transform the AAPI History bill into law. We must take action to ensure this bill progresses through the legislative process and ultimately becomes law. In fact, seven states (Illinois, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, California, New York, and Florida) have already passed bills to include AAPI History in school curricula. Let us work together to make Minnesota the eighth state to pass the bill. Please believe in yourselves. We, as young individuals, have the power to make a difference.
Asian Americans are American. The history of AAPI, encompassing their struggles and ongoing contributions to this nation, is an important part of American history. Education in schools matters because it provides a platform for our voices to be heard, our stories to be told, and our histories to be learned.
AAPI Youth Voices has been collaborating with State Representative Patricia Mueller to propose a bill aimed at encouraging schools to celebrate AAPI Heritage in May. Our bill number is 5037.

During AAPI Heritage Month, AAPI Youth Voices presents “One Month of AAPI Heritage”, a special month featuring AAPI culture and history. This program was designed to celebrate and educate about the diverse heritage and contributions of AAPI communities.
Across the nation, our Chapter Leaders led AAPI History sessions in schools and community spaces, spreading awareness and fostering a deeper understanding of AAPI culture. Through engaging presentations and activities, they empowered participants to celebrate and learn about the richness of AAPI heritage.
