AAPI Youth Voices ----- Prep for Capitol Rally on April 4th
Tonight, AAPI Youth Voices convened a productive meeting, laying the groundwork for our upcoming rally inside the State Capitol on April 4th. Below is a summary of the key points discussed and the actionable steps moving forward:
1) Sign-Making Initiative:
To amplify our presence at the rally, we encourage each member to craft a sign that reflects our collective message. These signs will serve as powerful visual representations of our cause and will contribute to the overall impact of the event.
2) Speakers Lineup:
We have drafted an initial list of speakers for the rally, including Youth Advisors, Legislators, Community Leaders, and the committed team of AAPI Youth Voices who will contribute their voices to champion our cause.
3) Outreach Efforts:
The success of our rally depends on the strength of our collective effort. We urge each member to take an active role in reaching out to groups and organizations that align with our mission. By expanding our network of supporters, we can increase the impact of our message and create a united front.
4) Awaiting the Bill Number:
We are currently awaiting State Representative Patricia Mueller to file the AAPI bill. Once filed, we will be assigned a case number, enabling us to provide direct support for our bill and engage in conversations with lawmakers to garner additional support. AAPI Youth Voices has full confidence in State Representative Patricia’s unwavering commitment to promoting diversity in education. With this assurance, we anticipate a swift progress of the filing process.
