AAPI Bill HF3132 was filed by State Representative Patricia Mueller on behalf of AAPI Youth Voices, proposing the addition of a new law to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 120A. The bill encourages school districts to commemorate Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month each May.
In observance of the month, school districts may offer instruction or host programs that provide students with opportunities to learn about the diverse cultures, traditions, achievements, and contributions of AAPI communities to American history and culture. The bill also allows districts to partner with community organizations to promote and encourage observance of AAPI Heritage Month.
Many thanks to State Representative Patricia Mueller, Daniel Mueller, and all those who continue to support and uplift AAPI communities.
